Professional experience: Mr. Rabbani mainly works water, environment, climate change and development issues at national, regional and international level. He is also experienced on risks, vulnerability and impact assessment related to global environmental changes. Mr. Rabbani has been involved in a number of studies including Climate Change impacts on agriculture in Bangladesh, Climate Change and Health Impacts in Bangladesh”, “Baseline Study on Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change Impacts Knowledge and Understanding among Disaster Management Committee Members at the local and national level” etc. He is also experienced in networking.

Education: Diploma in Forestry from the Natural Resources Training Institute in Bhutan

Professional Experience: Mr. Tshering worked in Bhutan’s federal forestry division for over two years and worked for the Royal Society for Protection of Nature (RSPN) in 1999. He is currently working in the capacity of field coordinator for the RSPN in the Phobjikha Conservation Area to implement the Integrated Conservation and Development Program (ICDP). Mr. Tshering also has experience in the field of social sciences, which he gained while working directly with grassroots communities. Ever since joining the CLACC team, he has been actively involved as the focal point for research on the black-necked cranes wintering in Bhutan. Mr. Tshering has written publications on social science and ecology as part of his research activity in conservation. He is also active in the environmental field of learning, participating in trainings and attending several seminars and meetings on environmental issues.

Professional expertise: Mr. Apar received two year mentorship from Resources Himalaya Foundation where he has excelled in field biology, GIS and database management system. He had worked with Local Initiatives for Biodiversity, Research and Development (LI-BIRD) as climate change programme officer where he is involved in civil societies networking on climate change to raise awareness and build capacity on climate change adaptation research and development work. He is presently working with reducing vulnerability team at Practical Action Nepal. His key areas of interest are natural resource management, field ecology, GIS, vulnerability assessment and climate change adaptation.
