Zero coordinates, catalyses, facilitates and evaluates all types and levels of development projects in the region. Policy advocacy is also a role Zero plays evolving out of research conducted and programs implemented. We know from experience the how and the why of what works in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region.
Projects developed and administered by Zero include agricultural productivity and land resources issues. For example, wind pattern studies have been carried out leading to the development and erection of wind turbine electrical generation plants. These have been used to power irrigation farming in, and bring electricity to, rural Zimbabwe.

CURE was established in an effort to provide technical support and improve networking amongst NGOS, the government of Malawi, donors and other organizations or individuals working in the area of the environment. CURE's mission is to assist NGOs enhance the impact, gender equity and sustainability of community based natural resource management interventions through capacity building, coordination, information exchange and advocacy.

GED's ultimate objective is to contribute to the sustainable development of the Mozambique and reduce of levels of poverty through the promotion of active research, adequate training and community services on issues of energy and climate change.
GED focuses its activities on matters of renewable energies and climate change. Renewable energy resources assessment, development and deployment of the respective technologies, as well as issues of adaptation and mitigation of the impacts of climate changes are central themes of GED activities.

Energy and Environmental Concerns for Zambia (E.E.C.Z) is a
non-governmental organisation formed and registered under the societies
Act in March 2000. It has a membership of more than forty (40)
individual Members and works with other organisations that promote
similar ideals such as, the National Council for Scientific and
Industrial Research, the University of Zambia Department of physics, and
is in the process of being affiliated to the Southern African Gender and
Energy network.
The mission is to contribute to the development, promotion, conservation
and wider use of energy sources in a sustainable manner to the
environment, and to advocate for the creation of an energy policy, that
is aimed at the eradication of poverty among peri-urban and rural
communities, especially women and children and the promotion of gender
equity.
