Professional experience: Mr. Alam works with multidisciplinary
teams of experts in the field of climate change, environment, natural
resource management and GIS. He is also experienced with the General
Circulation Model (GCM) and MIKE11 (hydrodynamics model) outputs used
for GIS modelling to predict present and future level of inundation due
to climate change and sea level rise. He is also familiar with COMAP
and IPCC methodology for assessing greenhouse gas emission from energy,
agriculture and forestry sectors with their potential mitigation
options.
Mr. Alam has been involved in a number of studies where different
models were used for vulnerability assessment, assessment of greenhouse
gas emission and mitigating GHG from agriculture and forestry sector.
Some of these were “Bangladesh Climate Change Country Study under the
US Climate Change Studies Programme”, “Assessment of Vulnerability of
Coastal Areas to Climate Change and Sea Level Rise; A Pilot Study in
Bangladesh” and “Asia Least-Cost Greenhouse Gas Abatement Strategy (ALGAS)
study, Bangladesh”.

Professional Experience: Mr. Bimal Raj Regmi started his carrier as natural resource trainer and worked as a technical trainer for Forestry Instructors-Peace Corps/Nepal. He has recently been working as Senior Programme Officer in Local Initiatives for Biodiversity, Research and Development and has experience in biodiversity, natural resource management and community mobilization. His key expertise areas are social/community forestry, local knowledge, participatory research and development, community mobilization and agro-forestry. He has published number of articles in national and international journals.
Bhutan
Dago Tshering

Education: Diploma in Forestry from the Natural Resources Training Institute in Bhutan
Professional Experience: Mr. Tshering worked in Bhutan’s federal forestry division for over two years and worked for the Royal Society for Protection of Nature (RSPN) in 1999. He is currently working in the capacity of field coordinator for the RSPN in the Phobjikha Conservation Area to implement the Integrated Conservation and Development Program (ICDP). Mr. Tshering also has experience in the field of social sciences, which he gained while working directly with grassroots communities. Ever since joining the CLACC team, he has been actively involved as the focal point for research on the black-necked cranes wintering in Bhutan. Mr. Tshering has written publications on social science and ecology as part of his research activity in conservation. He is also active in the environmental field of learning, participating in trainings and attending several seminars and meetings on environmental issues.

Md. Mizanur Rahman

Education: MSc degree from Institute of Marine Sciences at
Chittagong University in Bangladesh. He is currently undertaking an MSc
in Aquatic Resource Development (ARD) from Stirling University, UK in
association with the Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh
through distance learning.
Professional expertise: Mizanur is currently working as project
coordinator of sustainable environment management program at Caritas
where he is working for the minimization of environmental degradation
and sustainable development issues with emphasis on climate change
impacts, vulnerability, adaptation and mainstreaming. He is experienced
in the field of development administration and management. He also has
expertise in the field of community based sustainable natural resource
management; has a broad knowledge of local, national and international
NGOs. Mizanur has extensive experience with organizations involved in
implementing better services for stakeholders and in developing
education materials and technical write-ups on issues relevant to the
project activities. He has experience in designing, managing, assessing
and monitoring the effectiveness of programs.
