Professional experience:Joan Kariuki is a Research Fellow at African Centre for Technology studies. She has over 8 years experience in multi-disciplinary research on Environment natural resources and sustainable development. Joan was at International Centre for Research in Agroforestry for two years prior to joining ACTS
She is waiting to Graduate in MA in Development studies with specialty in Environment for Development. She also holds Bachelors of Environmental science Diploma in NGO management She has particular interest in policy research for sustainable management of Natural resources. Currently she has served as Regional coordinator for Transboundary water resource Management training Project and also supports project manager in Policy Innovation Systems for Clean Energy security Project (PISCES).

Education: Bachelors degree in Environmental Sciences and Management from Sokoine University of Agriculture with areas of specialization on Environment Impact Assessment, Risk Assessment, Ecological and Biodiversity Management, Pesticides Management and all related Environment Management activities.

Professional experience: Ms. Euster Kibona work with Environment Protection Management Services (EPMS) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. She is a senior environmental programme officer. Her areas of specialization are activities on participatory methods of project development and implementation, community assessment and public education with local NGOs and CBOs, EIA, researches and development projects on the global environmental change and sustainable development issues with a special focus on climate change impacts, vulnerability, adaptation and mainstreaming issues. As one of the three members from NGOs on the NAPA preparation National team she has an ability to work with a diverse range of interested stakeholders such as: government officials, communities, private sector. She has excellent communication skills in English and Kiswahili.

Uganda
Nanduddu Susan

Professional experience: Susan works with the First African Bicycle Information Organisation (FABIO) an NGO that promotes the use of bicycles for sustainable development in rural Uganda . FABIO is a member of DENIVA. Susan is currently steering the climate change unit at DENIVA whose goal is to increase awareness about climate change and help local communities adapt to the changes in climate. She has a passion for the advancement of women since they are largely the custodians of water, fire and land but are marginalized. Susan is currently involved in research, organizing climate hearings, capacity building of DENIVA member organizations and documentation.

Professional Experience: Sumaya Zaki Eldeen has extensive research experience on climate change, genetic resources and remote sensing. She is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Environmental Studies, University of Khartoum and an executive committee member of the Sudanese Environment Conservation Society (SECS).
