Zvigadza is currently a Programme Manager within ZERO Regional
Environment Organisation. Over the last two years he has been working
as a National Focal Point for Sustainability Watch, a loose coalition
of national civil society organisations in 15 countries in Asia, Latin
America and Africa set up to monitor Sustainable Development,
particularly Environmental Sustainability implementation
(using MDGs) on their commitments to the Millennium Development
Goals. This network will
also be focusing on Climate change as one of its major areas of focus
in its third phase. Sherpard

based in

Education: Msc in Fisheries Science and Bsc in Agriculture from
University of Malawi at Bunda College of Agriculture.
Professional experience: Mr. Kamanga is currently the Capacity
Development Officer for the Coordination Unit for the Rehabilitation of
the Environment (CURE). He has experience with financial and economic
appraisal of biodiversity conservation projects and monitoring and
evaluation. With the Department of National Parks and Wildlife Malawi,
he worked as a Research Officer as well as an Extension and
Environmental Education Officer. He coordinated initiatives on
collaborative wildlife management using participatory methodologies. He
has carried out studies in Wildlife resource mapping, human-wildlife
conflicts, and produced environmental impact assessments and animal
population estimates. He also managed environmental education and
outreach projects as well as crop protection, biodiversity and wildlife
utilization. Mr. Kamanga is also well experienced in assessments of
economic feasibility and sustainability of wildlife farming.

Professional experience:
Lina da Silva is working for the environment and biodiversity programme at ABIODES since 2005. She has experience with formulation, implementation and management of projects in biodiversity area (for example, Prevention and control of erosion, Conservation of African wild dog, Awareness of local community about environment conservation, Social and economic rights for the local community in forest plantation). She also holds experience for elaboration of the narrative and financial reports of the projects, but also has been involved in projects with some link with food security and advocacy of environmental issues. Lina has also experience in planning and management of human, material and financial resources once she uses to support the administrative area of ABIODES. She also holds experience in rural and environmental development as party of multiprofessional team, has participated in studies of human and elephant interaction around several provinces of Mozambique. This experience was acquired as collaborator at the Eduardo Mondlane University in Mozambique in partnership with CERU University from South Africa. As a university collaborator, Lina played a great role in studying the human – wildlife conflict, with special emphasis on the impact of elephant in development in general and on food security of the rural population. In her final work of honors degree, Lina drove a research that included desk and field work about the determinants of Human Elephant Conflict in Cabo Delgado province - Mozambique, analyzing the causes, impacts and possible solutions.
